Alice Elizabeth Bridal is in Coxhoe, a little village on the outskirts of Durham home to the most stand out wedding dresses North East has ever seen! We're a friendly, down to earth bunch of ladies who are obsessed with all things Bridal. We really do have the best job in the world, we love everything that is involved in helping you find your dream dress. We are here to give you styling advice, boost your confidence, empower you and show you just how fabulous you really are. You are in expert hands, your memorable experience in our beautiful Boutique is second to none. We have 5 talented dress designers in Team AE, and our Design Studio, where our own designs are created and the alterations to our Brides’ dresses take place. Having designers in the Boutique means that we have extensive knowledge of structure and fabrics. We can advise on bespoke changes we can make to your dress which would make it unique to you.

My own journey into Bridal was always meant to be. As a little girl I watched the talented ladies in my life create the most beautiful things. My Grandma was a Tailoress and made the most beautiful wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses. My Mother was an upholsterer and made covering a sofa look so easy, she also made my clothes and I always had fabulous dresses that were different to everyone else. My Nanna was a dressmaker too, but I remember her most for her beautiful knitting and crocheting. These three wonderful Ladies taught me their craft at such a young age that I can’t remember learning and I went from designing clothes for my Sindy dolls at age 6 or 7 to making my own clothes as a teenager. My decision to go into Bridal was made when I was 15. My Aunty took me to see Diana’s wedding dress on display after the Royal Wedding. I will never forget how emotional I became when I saw how exquisite the work was on that dress, at that very moment I knew I would design wedding dresses. The family connection continues as Alice Elizabeth Bridal is named after my Daughter, who's now studying Fashion and Tailoring at University.
